Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer science that deals with the simulation of human intelligence in a machine that is programmed to think like humans.  In other words it deals with the development of algorithms and models that mimic human cognitive functions              .

In reality, most of us encounter Artificial Intelligence in some way or the other almost every single day. From the moment you wake up to check your smartphone to watching another Netflix movie, AI has quickly made it way into our everyday lives.                                                                                                                                 Email filters to smart replies , Linkedin, Pinterest, Chatbots to Facebook Protective Detection, Google predictive searches to Google's algorithm , product recommendations ,music recommendations, map and direction mobile banking ,ride-sharing apps to Financial Institutions fraud prevention everything is functioning smoothly because of AI.                                                                                                                                   But what exactly is AI? Will it really serve good to mankind in the future? Well, there are tons of advantages and disadvantages of Artificial Intelligence. 

An artificial intelligence program is a program that is capable of learning and thinking. It is possible to consider anything to be artificial intelligence if it consists of a program performing a task that we would normally assume a human would perform. Let's begin with the advantages of artificial intelligence.       

                                                          

Advantages of AI:-                                                                                                                                                           

1. Efficiency: AI can perform tasks much faster and more efficiently than humans. This is especially useful in industries such as manufacturing, where robots can work around the clock without needing breaks or rest.

2. Accuracy: AI systems can process vast amounts of data with incredible accuracy, making them ideal for tasks such as fraud detection or medical diagnosis.

3. Cost-effective: While the initial investment in developing an AI system may be high, in the long run, it can save companies a lot of money by reducing the need for human labor.

4. Personalization: AI can be used to personalize experiences for individual users, such as recommending products or services based on their past behavior.

5. Safety: AI can be used in dangerous environments where it is not safe for humans to work, such as deep-sea exploration or space exploration.

In recent years, AI has gained significant attention due to its potential to revolutionize many aspects of our lives. 

Everything in excess is dangerous and so is the case with Artificial intelligence.

 The main disadvantages that Artificial intelligence holds.                                                                              .                                                                                   DISADVANTAGE OF AI                                                                                             

  1. Lack of creativity:- 

The biggest disadvantage of Artificial Intelligence is its lack of creativity. Artificial Intelligence is a technology that is completely based on pre-loaded data. However, Artificial Intelligence can learn over time with this pre-fed data and past experiences, but it cannot be creative like humans.

2. High production cost:-

We are living in a technological world where we have to manipulate ourselves according to society. Similarly, a computer machine also requires time to time software and hardware updates to meet the latest requirements. Hence, AI also need repairing and maintenance, which need plenty of costs.

3. Increasing human's laziness :-

The new inventions of Artificial Intelligence are making humans lazier towards their work, resulting in humans being completely dependent on machines and robots. If this continues for more upcoming years, then our next generations will become entirely dependent on a machine, resulting in further unemployment and health issues.

4. Risk of Unemployment :- 

A robot is one of the implementations of Artificial intelligence, and it is replacing jobs and leading to serve unemployment (In some cases). Hence, according to some people, there is always a risk of unemployment because of robots and chatbots instead of humans. For example, in some more technology-oriented countries such as Japan, robots are widely used in manufacturing industries to replace human resources. However, this is not always the truth because as it replaces humans to enhance efficiency, it is also making more jobs opportunities for humans. 

5. No improvement:-

Artificial Intelligence is a technology completely based on pre-loaded data and experience, so it cannot be improved as human. It can perform the same task repeatedly, but if you want some improvement and changes, you have to change the command for the same. However, it can store unlimited data that humans cannot, but also it cannot be accessed and used like human intelligence.

CONCLUSION

All being said, the pros and cons of artificial intelligence being evaluated. 

As the age-old saying goes, necessity is the mother of all innovations, so is the case with AI. Human beings know what they need and are getting increasingly better in defining their wants and quickly transforming this into reality.

In the near future, things will happen so rapidly that we will see major changes and innovation.
