महाशिवरात्री धर्म के सभी महा पर्वों में से एक माना जाता है। इस दिन सभी शिव मंदिरों में भीड़-भाड़ का माहौल रहता है। महाशिवरात्रि के दिन सभी भक्त महादेव का दूध से अभिषेक करते हैं |  पंचांग के अनुसार शिवरात्रि फाल्गुन माह के कृष्ण पक्ष की चतुर्दशी तिथि को मनाई जाती है। इस बार फाल्गुन माह की महाशिवरात्रि दिनांक 08 मार्च को मनाई जाएगी। इस पावन दिन पर महादेव और मां पार्वती का विवाह हुआ था इसलिए यह दिन कुआरी कन्याओं और कुआरे वरों के लिए बहुत खास माना जाता है | महाशिवरात्रि के पूरे दिन अबूझ मुहूर्त है। सभी भक्त इस दिन का बहुत बेसब्री से इंतज़ार करते हैं  जिससे कोई भी शुभ और मांगलिक कार्य इस दिन किया जा सके | आज के दिन महादेव और माता पार्वती की विशेष पूजा-अर्चना की जाती है। इसके साथ ही महादेव के सभी भक्त व्रत रखते हैं। इस पर्व को देवभूमी के साथ-साथ काशी ,उज्जैन में बहुत ही धूम-धाम से मनाया  जाता है | पूरे नगर और मंदिरों को दुल्हन की तरह सजाया  जाता है| एसे पवित्र दिनों में भक्त भोलेनाथ से उनके तीर्थों पर दर्शन पाने की कामना करते हैं| महाशिवरात्रि के भव्य अवसर पर कई स्थानों ...
