Today, we mark the 25th anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, a day that etched itself in the annals of Indian history as a testament to the unwavering courage and unrelenting patriotism of our brave soldiers. On this solemn occasion, we remember and salute the heroes who laid down their lives for the love of their country. The Kargil Conflict: A Brief Overview In May 1999, Pakistani forces infiltrated the Indian side of the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir, sparking a full-blown conflict. The Indian Army, with its characteristic valor, launched Operation Vijay to reclaim the captured territories. The war raged on for 60 days, culminating in the decisive victory of the Indian forces on July 26, 1999.
