Born on 22 December 1666 in Patna Guru Gobind Singh Ji childhood name was Gobind Rai. His father, the ninth Guru, Shri Tegh Bahadur, had returned to Punjab after some time. The house in Patna where he was born and spend his 4 years, is now situated at 'Takhat Shri Harimander Ji Patna Sahib'. In 1670, his family moved to Punjab. In March 1672, his family moved to a place called Chak Nanaki (Anandpur Sahib), located in the (Shivalik Hills of the Himalayas). Guru Govind Singh Ji used to share spiritual joy in Anandpur Sahib regularly, giving the message of morality, fearlessness and spiritual awakening in human beings.
