ISLANDS THAT SHOULD NEVER MAKE IT TO YOUR TRAVEL LIST !
We all love the exotic and adventurous island vacation and once in a lifetime everyone wish to visit, but what if without keeping any knowledge about the island you visited there and never came back? Well no worries today we will discuss about some of the great threat behind the beauty of some islands that one should never visit:
1. RAMREE ISLAND
What if you landed on an island and hey you meet not your so mate friend crocodile? Well yeah, Ramree Island is homes to thousand of saltwater crocodile, which are the largest reptilian predator in the world, weigh around 2000 pounds and the smaller one can also easily kill a large person. These crocodiles are not only deadly but also very aggressive & known to attack people who enter their natural habitat. Well myth or true but it is said, in the early 1945 as part of the pacific war during world war II allied forces pinned down 1000 japanese soldiers in a mangrove swamp off the coast of Burma(Myanmar) around 980 soldiers were eaten out by the crocodiles only 20 of them made it out alive. If you are capable enough to escape from the crocodile’s, poisonous scorpion and malaria carrying mosquitoes are everywhere.
2. IZU ISLANDS
A group of volcanic islands in the Fuji Volcanic Belt that stretch from north to south for 280 miles. A reek of sulfur cannot be avoided or ignored, and the people who lived there were actually evacuated in 2000 (and once before in 1953) because the levels of gas were through the roof. They were allowed back in five years later, but residents of Miyakejima, one of the Izu Islands, must wear masks at all times.

3. GRUINARD ISLAND
This tiny, oval-shaped Scottish island is just about 1.2 miles long by half a mile wide, but it's one of the most dangerous places on the planet. No one has settled on this British "Anthrax Island." It used to be the testing ground for biological warfare during World War II. It was so contaminated that it was deemed off limits for half a century. Anthrax spores remain in the soil.
4. POVEGLIA ISLAND
Most of the people nowadays don't believe in the ghosts but this island located in Northern Italy, which is considered to be one of the most haunted places in the world. The dark history of Poveglia began thousands years ago when it was used as a quarantine station for decades. Thousands of people with symptoms of the Bubonic plague were sent there to die; burned and then buried in mass graves. The horror story of Poveglia didn't end there, there's more! Poveglia island was also converted into a mental hospital in the early 20th century, where heinous and inhumane experiments were performed on the patients some of them witnessed said you can hear their screams till today. The govvernment has made illegal to visit this island.
5. ILHA DA QUIEMADA ISLAND
This island is popularly known as snake island, located in the Atlantic ocean off the coast Brazil. This island is a home of thousands of thousands of poisonous snake the only place you can find the critically endangered species, venomous golden lance head pit viper whose venom is enough to melt human skin and easily kill a person in less than an hour. No one is allowed to visit this island not only because to protect the visitors but also to protect the endangered species of snake from modern-pay pirates who use these snakes to make money.
6. NORTH-SENTINEL ISLAND
The island which is heavily patrolled by our India Army itself and as per the Indian Government it is illegal to go there who is not a resident to go within three miles of the Island.Located in the Bay of Bengal, this mysterious island often piques the interest of explorers. Perhaps the hardest place to visit on Earth, North Sentinel Island is home to the Sentinelese who has been in the isolation for more than 50000 years, an indigenous people with no contact with the outside world. The sentinelese is violently hostile to visitors and may attact with spears and arrows.
7. REUNION ISLAND
Reunion Island is home to one of the highest amounts of shark attacks in the world, and has seen more than 12 attacks in the last three years alone. The government has put a ban on swimming, body-boarding, and surfing in hopes of protecting beach-goers but people are still exploring the island just because of the beauty and exotic adventures.
8. SURTSEY ISLAND
Surtsey Island was borne out of volcanic eruptions that look place over the course of 4 years, 1963, below sea level. As per research of scientist this young island off the southern coast of Iceland, has started to observe some life-including plants, seal, birds & insects. Surtsey Island has been restricted exclusively for scientific research to allow natural ecological development to continue without outside interference. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2008.
