HO HO HO! What's the real story behind Christmas?
There is something magical about Christmas at Christmas it seems like the whole world slows down broken families come together to celebrate nations at war called ceasefires and some people even go to church but why is Christmas so important?
Christmas is a birthday party however the story has been tweaked here and there so that most people don’t understand its true meaning anymore, this is picture you would find in most churches at Christmas now let’s find a few mistakes which were added through tradition but you will not find in the bible;
· There was not stone in Israel at the time of Jesus birth
· We don’t read of animals in the stable
· We don’t read of a stable in the first place furthermore there are these 3 kings but we don’t even know if there were 3 and if they were kings or even what their names were?
· The shepherds were not present when the wise man came and marry and Joseph didn’t have a halo above their heads so what was the true story?
Well the true story takes less than a couple of minutes to read but before do so let’s focus on 2 points you’ll probably never heard about at Christmas, The Knight and The Baby.
THE BABY
THE KNIGHT
It was very present when the Christ was born Israel was divided in spiritually sleeping it was morally very dark Israel was supposed to be the light to the world but there was self-righteous and corrupt and that sounds familiar again what is the light of the world today the believers the church really? I mean which one you see that’s where the problem starts the testimonies and pieces like Israel was dividing in the end of history the church is now like in Israel’s day only few Christian are really awaiting the coming of Christ but he is coming the master is coming! We urge you to make peace with God.
THE STORY
In those days a decree went out from Caeser Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration Quirinius was the governor of Syria and all went to be registered each to his own town and Joseph also went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea to the city of David which is called Bethlehem because he was of the house and the lineage of David to be registered with Mary his betrothed who was with a child and while they were there the time came for her to give birth and she gave birth to the first born son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no place for them in the air and in the same region there were shepherd out in the field keeping watch over the flock by night and an angel of the lord appeared to them and glory of the lord shown around them and there were filled with great fear & the angel said to the them, “Fear not for behold I bring you good news a great joy that will all the people for unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior, who is Christ the lord and this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger” and suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly host praising god and saying, “glory to god in the highest and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased -
And when the angel went away from them into heaven the shepherd said to one another, “let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened which the lord has made known to us”
And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph and the baby lying in the manger and when they saw it they made known the saying that had been told of them concerning this child and all who heard it wondered at what the shepherd’s told them. But Mary treasured these entire things pondering them in her heart and the shepherd returned glorifying and praising god for all that heard and seem, as it had been told them. {The Bible}
