The History Behind Bandi Chhor Divas Bandi Chhor Divas is celebrated by the time of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the sixth Sikh Guru. Guru Ji had been imprisoned by the Mughal emperor Jahangir at the Gwalior Fort on political and religious charges.
