This auspicious day is observed on the 11th day (Ekadashi) of Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Margashirsha, typically falling in November or December.

The Timeless Significance of the Bhagavad Gita

The Bhagavad Gita, often called the "Song of God," is a 700-verse scripture that captures the enlightening conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. In this dialogue, Lord Krishna addresses essential topics like duty (dharma), righteousness, devotion, and the ultimate path to liberation (moksha). Its teachings transcend religious boundaries, offering timeless guidance for living a balanced, purposeful, and spiritually enriched life.

A Divine Historical Context

The Gita forms a part of the Mahabharata, the great Indian epic composed by the sage Vyasa. Set in the midst of an impending war

It serves as a spiritual manual, emphasizing the importance of selfless action, devotion, and inner peace.

मंगलवार को  देवशयनी एकादशी थी। आषाढ़ शुक्ल एकादशी से कार्तिक शुक्ल एकादशी तक यानि 4 महीने श्री हरी विष्णु पाताल लोक में विश्राम करते है।   अब सवाल उठता है की जब श्री विष्णु विश्राम करते है, तब पृथ्वी का भार कौन संभालता है। आज इस ब्लॉग से हम सभी तथ्य जानेंगे।   क्या है देवशयनी एकादशी? आषाढ़ शुक्ल एकादशी को देवशयनी एकदशी कहते हैं। पद्मा पुराण के अनुसार आषाढ़ शुक्ल एकादशी यानि देवशयनी एकादशी के दिन श्री हरी विष्णु विश्राम करने जाते है और देवउठनी एकादशी तक वही विश्राम करते है। विश्राम पर जाने के समय को देवशयनी और विश्राम पूर्ण होने पर जब वो जागते है उस  दिन को देवउठनी एकादशी नामसे जाना जाता है।  आखिर क्यों जाते हैं श्री हरि  विष्णु पाताल लोक ? भागवत पुराण के 10वे  खंड के 56वे अध्याय के उल्लेख के अनुसार एक बार श्री हरी विष्णु शंखचूड़ नामक असुर के साथ युद्ध लम्बे अंतराल तक चलता रहा। युद्ध में विजयी होने के बाद भगवान बहुत थक गए थे। देवताओ ने आषाढ़ शुक्ल एकादशी के दिन प्रभु की पूजा करने के बाद उनसे विनती की कि अब वह कुछ समय विश्राम करे। देवताओं ...
