A campus is supposed to be a place where young minds question the world. But what happens when one unverified message becomes powerful enough to shake the entire campus? On September 27, 2026, Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Phagwara, Punjab, witnessed intense student protests after reports circulated on social media alleging that a female student had been sexually assaulted on campus. What began as concern among students soon escalated into clashes, vandalism, fires and the blocking of the Jalandhar–Phagwara National Highway. But beneath the noise of the protest lies a much bigger story — a story about fear, trust and the speed at which information travels. The allegation itself remains under investigation. Police registered an FIR against an unidentified person and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT), while LPU authorities denied that the alleged assault had occurred and described the claims as false and fabricated. And this is where the situation becomes more complica...

The Amazon rainforest has many types of species that human society has not discovered yet. The Amazon rainforest is the world's largest tropical forest.  The rainforest is home of 10% of all known species on Earth, including millions of plants and insects. This forest is so large that it covers 6.7 million square kilometers (2.6 million square miles ) and also covers Peru, Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela, and Brazil. Brazil contains 60% of the entire Amazon rainforest. While the rainforest is famous for its biodiversity, it hides its most secret treasures inside. There are 16,000 different tree species and roughly 400 billion individual trees. ~by Mohit Kumar Singh BJMC, 1st Semester

Think about the first thing you do after waking up. For many young people, it is not brushing their teeth or having breakfast. It is reaching for the phone. A quick look at Instagram turns into a few reels, then a couple of messages, maybe a YouTube video—and before you know it, twenty minutes have disappeared. Familiar? Social media has become such a normal part of everyday life that it is sometimes difficult to imagine a time when staying connected did not mean being online all the time. Platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat and X have completely changed the way young people communicate and consume information. With just a few taps, a student in Delhi can follow a journalist in Mumbai, learn photography from a creator in another country, or discover a new skill from someone they may never meet in real life. At the same time, social media gives young people a space to express themselves. They can share their opinions, showcase their talents, document their lives, and connect...

Delhi doesn’t introduce itself quietly. It arrives with the sound of metro announcements, traffic horns, crowded roads, hurried footsteps and people constantly moving somewhere. For someone coming from a smaller city, the first few days in Delhi can feel less like entering a new city and more like entering a completely different world. When I first came to Delhi for my studies, I carried more than just luggage. I carried expectations, excitement, uncertainty and, somewhere deep inside, a little fear. Leaving home and beginning a new chapter sounds exciting when you imagine it. Living it is something else. The first lesson Delhi teaches you is independence. At home, many things happen without you thinking about them. Food is there. Your room is familiar. Someone is always around. In Delhi, suddenly, you have to think about everything—what to eat, when to leave for college, how much money you are spending, which metro route to take and how to manage when something doesn’t go accord...

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the way information is created, processed and delivered. From generating news summaries to transcribing interviews and translating content, AI tools are increasingly becoming part of modern newsrooms. This has also raised an important question: Will AI replace journalists in the future?                                       AI can make several journalism tasks faster and more efficient. It can help journalists analyse large amounts of information, identify trends, generate basic reports and check information. Automated tools can also help with transcription, translation and editing, allowing journalists to spend more time on reporting and storytelling. However, journalism is not only about writing information. A journalist has to interview people, understand different perspectives, verify facts and provide context. Human judgement is par...

Delhi is a city that never seems to stop. But every morning, as thousands of people step out for work, college and school, one thing brings the city to a standstill traffic. From crowded roads to endless lines of vehicles, Delhi’s traffic has become a part of daily life. A journey that should take 20 minutes can easily turn into an hour. Horns keep ringing, people keep checking their watches, and patience slowly disappears. The problem is not just the number of vehicles. Poor lane discipline, illegal parking, sudden U-turns and people breaking traffic rules add to the chaos. During office hours, roads become packed, while a small accident or a broken-down vehicle can create a long traffic jam within minutes. And then comes the pollution. Thousands of vehicles stuck on the roads mean more fuel being burned and more smoke entering the air. So, Delhi’s traffic is not only wasting our time it is also affecting the environment. But traffic is not a problem that only the government can ...

In our country women's are worshiped as God. We all know that our country, India is famous for its different customs and culture throughout the world. In our nation it has been a tradition since ancient times that women are given special honor and respect. In Indian culture women have been given the status of goddess LAXMI. If we talk about the women of this generation then we can see that almost all of the women out there are going through a lot these days. If we talk about the twenty-first century then women are working with men in every feild, may it be bank, school, hospital or may it be running there own businesses. Today women are breaking the glass ceiling. They are giving a tough competition to men these days. I totally agree with the fact that women in Indian society are worshiped as goddess Laxmi but this is only one aspect of the society the other side of the society is too ugly. The topic of women safety should not be ignored. Importance of protection of women is very i...

Introduction: The Promise of a True Story    Films based on real events often promise audiences a glimpse into history, tragedy or national moments that shaped society. However, cinema is also a form of entertainment. To keep audiences engaged, filmmakers frequently simplify events, dramatize conflicts and create emotionally satisfying narratives.   As a result, the version of reality shown on screen may be more exciting, inspiring, or visually appealing than what actually happened.   When Reality Is Made More Cinematic  This becomes particularly important in films based on sensitive subjects such as wars, terrorism, political conflicts, or national tragedies. In an attempt to create heroes, villains and powerful emotional moments, filmmakers may overlook complexities that are essential to understanding the real event. What was once a complicated historical situation can become a straightforward story of good versus bad.   How Glorificatio...

A World Hidden in the Amazon Deep inside the Amazon rainforest, far away from cities, roads and modern technology, live Indigenous communities that have little or no permanent contact with the outside world. The Amazon is usually known for its huge forests, rivers and wildlife, but it is also home to people who have preserved their traditional way of life for generations. • Living With the Forest For these communities, the forest is much more than a place to live. It provides food, water, shelter and materials needed for everyday life. They depend on their knowledge of the forest and its resources for survival. Their languages, traditions and cultural practices are passed from one generation to another, keeping their identity alive. •Why Do They Stay Isolated? Their isolation is not simply a mystery. Many Indigenous groups have historically faced violence, exploitation and diseases after contact with outsiders. Because of these risks, avoiding contact can help protect their communities...

Have you ever opened your favourite packet of chips, only to find more air than chips? You sit on the sofa after a long day, reach for the snack you've been craving, and open the packet. But something's different, and it's not visible at first because the packaging looks familiar; the brand is the same and even the price hasn't changed.   Yet, something feels different. There are fewer chips. Same price. Same branding. But less product. What seems like a small change in your everyday shopping experience is actually part of a much bigger economic phenomenon: Shrinkflation .   Shrinkflation happens when businesses reduce the quantity of a product while keeping its price unchanged. A biscuit packet that once contained 100 grams for ₹50 may now contain 80 grams for the same price. But the interesting part isn't just what's happening inside the packet. It's what's happening inside our minds.   Various studies show that we tend to remember prices more easily...
