Women safety

In our country women's are worshiped as God. We all know that our country, India is famous for its different customs and culture throughout the world. In our nation it has been a tradition since ancient times that women are given special honor and respect. In Indian culture women have been given the status of goddess LAXMI. If we talk about the women of this generation then we can see that almost all of the women out there are going through a lot these days. If we talk about the twenty-first century then women are working with men in every feild, may it be bank, school, hospital or may it be running there own businesses. Today women are breaking the glass ceiling. They are giving a tough competition to men these days.

I totally agree with the fact that women in Indian society are worshiped as goddess Laxmi but this is only one aspect of the society the other side of the society is too ugly.

The topic of women safety should not be ignored. Importance of protection of women is very important may it be at home, work place or any kind of public place.

The protection of women is very broad in itself, given the increased atrocities against women in the last few years, we cannot say that women in our country are completely safe. Women's feel extremely unsafe when they have to go out alone, especially during the night time. This is a shameful state of affairs that, a country where women's are worshiped are not feeling safe.

Women do not face oppression only during the evening or at night numerous incidents have also taken place in broad daylight, proving that women’s safety remains a concern at any time of the day. Women these days are not even safe at their own home. Today almost every other girl out there has been molested by their closed ones may it a friend or may it be some of their close relatives. In last few years the level of safety of women have been constantly falling, which is extremely disheartening.

From the medieval era to the 21st century, the status of women has changed significantly, with progress in many areas as well as persistent challenges. Women have equal rights, represent nearly half of the country’s population, and play an equally important role in its development. It cannot be denied that in today’s modern era, women have made remarkable progress and have excelled in fields once dominated by men.

From holding positions at the highest levels of government to contributing to development at the grassroots level, women are now an essential part of the country’s progress. However, despite these achievements, crimes against women remain a serious concern in India. The list includes acid attacks, domestic violence, sexual violence, dowry-related deaths, abduction, honour-based violence, rape, female foeticide, and mental harassment.

These challenges remind us that progress and safety must go hand in hand. Women’s empowerment is not just about giving women equal opportunities, it is also about creating a society where they can live without fear. A country cannot truly progress if half of its population continues to feel unsafe. It is time to move beyond merely worshipping women and start respecting, protecting and empowering them in real life. True progress will come when every woman can step out of her home with confidence, freedom and dignity not fear.
