1. Story:
The Depth of Faith: This is the story of Dev, a villager who lives with his wife, Mamta. Both are deeply devoted to God and always keep faith in Him. However, they face difficulties in their lives. Due to financial difficulties, Rishi and his wife are forced to return to their village, Devanchal, in Bihar. However, Rishi does not want to return to his village. Meanwhile, in Devanchal, Deepak (played by Sunil Grover), a professional engineer, wants to build a road through a mysterious and sacred ancient forest.
The villagers consider the forest a part of Van Devi, the Forest Goddess. Rishi's brother Shashi (Anup Soni) and his wife Rudivadi (Shweta Tiwari) strongly oppose the proposal to cut down the forest. According to their ancestors' belief, the forest is the home of Van Devi. It is believed that after sunset, no human should enter the forest, and those who enter do not return. Rishi tries to protect the sacred forest and its traditions. As the characters enter the forest, mysterious supernatural powers begin to appear, adding suspense and mystery to the story.
2. Acting and Performances: Sidharth Malhotra: In the role of Siddharth, he appears as a gentleman, and his fitness is noticeable. However, his performance feels somewhat restrained, which makes his character appear less powerful. Tamannaah Bhatia: She plays an important role and portrays a woman who has suffered a lot and remains devoted to her faith. Her performance is impressive and adds emotional depth to the film.
3. Direction and Technical Aspects: Deepak Kumar Mishra's direction is evident in the film. The movie moves into a much bigger-budget visual world, with VFX playing an important role. The VFX and depiction of the Goddess are important elements. The visuals have a feel reminiscent of Hindi mythological films of the 1980s and 1990s. The music by Vishal Mishra and Amit Trivedi is one of the film's strongest aspects. The music, especially the song 'Chhati Maiya', is highly appreciable. It connects different elements of the story and keeps the audience engaged.
4. Folklore and Indian Culture Chhath Puja: Chhath Puja is a major festival of Indian culture. It is celebrated with great devotion and faith and is dedicated to the Sun God. It is especially popular in Bihar and other parts of North India. Atmosphere: The festival atmosphere is filled with devotion, traditional customs, and cultural elements, which add to the film's folk and spiritual setting.
5. Weak Point: The weak point of the movie is its story and screenplay. The story feels somewhat slow and predictable in some places, which affects the overall impact of the film.
6. Movie Review: The movie has some interesting elements, but the story and screenplay could have been stronger. Its folklore, spiritual atmosphere, visuals, and music provide engaging moments, while the slower portions reduce the impact.
Conclusion:
The Vvaan – Force of the Forest is a film based on faith and spirituality. If you enjoy stories involving Indian folklore, faith, and supernatural elements, the film may be interesting for you. However, viewers who prefer realistic stories or are less interested in spiritual themes may find it less engaging.
