AVOID DISTRACTIONS WHILE STUDYING

Most of us get distracted with push notifications, phone calls and text messages. According to recent research, the typical student most often as a result of texting and social media use , is distracted for at least five out of every  15 minutes they set aside the study. While doing part-time job, balancing relationships and trying to maintain your grades in college, It can be very difficult to stay focused with so much going on, but it is not impossible.

You can easily maintain balance and stay focused by following few things:

Create a to-do list in an organized format.

Study suggest that the simple act of writing things out helps boost your concentration and memory. Multiple projects and deadlines can be stressful if not in an organized form. You can organize your multiple projects and deadlines and  also manage your time efficiently with a proper schedule. You

Can easily remind yourself about multiple pending task by set reminders.

Break big Projects into smaller one.

It is easier to encourage yourself to do something in smaller tasks rather than jumping into a bigger one.Breakup your time effectively, if you are having time problem or getting work done. Studies show that taking breaks can help you store information and increase productivity,  start giving yourself a 10 minute break for every 45-50 minutes of work you do.

Turn off Alerts.

You can fight with online distractions by blocking or hiding time-wasting websites and apps. Put your phone on silent mode, and close unnecessary tabs because these constant notifications and text messages are every college student’s enemy.

For efficient studies, find out best environment.

Firstly, get to know the type of environment you prefer and your working style. Every individual prefers different work space, some students work best with a little background noise, while others need complete silence. Few people get distracted in noise while others start feeling sleepy in quite background.

Reward you self for achievements.

Make a reward on each accomplishment to motivate yourself to do something. A little motivation can encourage you in a long  way. For example, if you finish an project without any distractions, give your self a reward like taking a nap for 15-20 minutes or watching a TV show.
