Essential qualities that a professional journalist possesses:-

Accurate Knowledge is required for being a good journalist. You should have some prior knowledge before covering a story and then write on it. You need be aware of the current events. Create a habit of reading news to stay updated on current events happening around. Your ability is essential and helpful for research to find out the important details of a story.

A writer should understand the way of words and able to find out the difference between an average news story and an enthralling news piece. He should be able to produce an error-free concise article with factual information that world attract the audience interest.  You should know how to play with words .

Good communication skills are important for an ideal journalist. With the good communication skills, you can easily understand them and could able to extract relevant information for a story. Journalist should be proficient in Hindi and English language to write a story in a way that would attract the masses.

Investigative Skills are required for a journalist. A journalist relies on facts and evidence instead of emotions while working on a story. A journalist should have the strong observant power to assess a situation if there is something more to it. You should know how to deal with the critical situation, whether it is about confirming the news source credibility or an incident.
