The pandemic has altered people’s lives in both extensively and small ways. COVID-19 makes people realize about their efficiencies which is useful for themselves as well as for our societies, and how policies need to pay attention to protect and uplift the least advantaged in society. It is very important for policy makers and stakeholders to focus on successful steps during COVID days and adopt those to bring strength in development ecosystem.
In India, lockdown started last year from 23rd march,2020. Everything has come to the stoppage in the country excluding some essential services. We all noticed few positive things during this pandemic situation, such as knowing our capacities, spent time with our family members. Out of various positive effects, there is digital inclusion in our life on a very large scale. Today, Schools, colleges, private coaching, training institutions are extensively using technology to deliver uninterrupted learning sessions as per their academic schedules. Digital inclusion is happening in some or the other way in our society which is effecting education, finance and governance the most.
This digitalization has become helpful for this long term changes in our life and it decreases the pain of today’s lockdown. The current global crisis will prepare us to survive in the present as well as for the future because nothing will be the same after COVID-19. This global lockdown needs a full digital unlocking. Digitalization is the answer to some of the problems and challenges raised by the COVID-19 situation. The use of digital applications has made people’s lives better. Internet is playing the key role in improving the quality of our lives by keeping social distancing such as medical facilities, education sector, news and media, business houses, entertainment purpose. It reaches to the wide range of area. People become aware of how our acceptance towards digitalization can unlock the potential to save money and increase revenue. We all have to learn to live in this digital world so that we can make our life better and take some meaningful decisions in the future.
