TRAFFIC - A major problem in Delhi !


Traffic is a major problem in Delhi today. The daily commuting on the roads of Delhi is becoming longer and more grueling day by day, depicting the failure of public transportation infrastructure to keep pace with the growing developing activities in the Delhi. Substantial increase in the number of vehicles on Delhi roads is a main effect of traffic jam in recent years. In fact, studies have shown more than a lakh vehicles are plying almost every day on most of the important corridors in Delhi. 


Cause of traffic

Another major cause in Delhi roads are characterized by mixed traffic which include personal vehicles, buses, trucks, three-wheelers, two-wheelers etc. To solve the problem of traffic a new flyover is constructed in Ashram which connected with lajpat nagar road this flyover is start from the end of DND flyway to the lajpat nagar road. Main purpose of this flyover is to distribute the traffic on different routes. This flyover is opened on 06 March 2023 by chief minster of Delhi. 

Delhi Mumbai Highway

However there is also a new 1350km long and eight line broad highway is been constructed from Delhi to Mumbai which almost reduce half time of the journey between two states. This Delhi Mumbai highway cover almost 14 states like Sohna, Alwar, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dahod, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Virar and Mumbai. The total budget of the highway is decided to be 1,00,000 crores. The first phase of this highway is opened on February 12 by the Prime minister. This first phase connects Delhi and the western states of Rajasthan. The construction of this expressway is in full swing and should be completed at the end of June 2024.

Does poor air quality of Delhi cause new birth of pregnant women’s?

As we all know that Delhi has very major problem of  Air pollution because of heavy traffic and industries. Air pollution can adversely affect the health of pregnant women and the development of their baby.

Researchers found that the people who lived in poor air quality cities are suffering from diseases like Asthma, lungs cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) etc. Researchers also found that the pregnant women’s are also suffering from the disease like 

* Low Birth Weight 

* Preterm Birth

* Asthma etc 

So the precautions everyone should take to make there health good. 

Check the air index daily and wear a good quality of mask when ever go out . 

At home use air purifiers clean the air of your house.
