1. Arrest Warrants Issued Against Sheikh Hasina and Others

Bangladesh's ICT accused ex-PM Sheikh Hasina and 12 others of disappearances and killings during her tenure and issued arrest warrants against them.

    

2. Sheikh Hasina Fled to India After Losing Power

At 77, Sheikh Hasina fled to India in August 2024 after a student-led revolution overthrew her. Authorities have since filed a second case against her.

   

3. ICT Seeks Help From Interpol and India for Arrest

After issuing the warrant, the ICT consequently requested Interpol's assistance to arrest Hasina. Moreover, Bangladesh has formally asked India to extradite her.
