Cannes festival postponed

Due to Corona virus, many international events related to sports and entertainment have been canceled worldwide. Many  festivals, events have been canceled and the name of Cannes Film Festival has been added to it.




The Cannes Film Festival or Festeval De Canne, considered to be the biggest gathering of films and film personalities, will not be held until June this time and even then it is difficult to organize in its original form. Cannes film festival, official name Festival de Cannes, film festival was first held in 1946 in Cannes, France. The film professionals, actors producers, directors came from all around the world with their films which premiers on the screen. Postponing the most prestigious film festival is really a big blow to world cinema, many directors, film makers look up to the festival for premier their works. But for the safety of everyone this decision has been taken.

The death rate in France due to Corona virus is more than 17000 while the confirmed case is more than 1 lakh. In France too, the corona virus is very high and the French government has extended the lockdown to 11 May instead of 15 April. It is quite difficult to organize such a Cannes Film Festival where more than 50000 people will be gathered all around the world.
